Radiant flooring is very important in houses to keep the comforts of our homes warm especially in the cold days of winter and spring. We have to make sure that our floors are well heated so that we will be able to avoid colds that are very hard to get rid of during the winter season. A lot of people usually get cold during this season because this season makes our immune system low. If you get too much cold in the body, the body will not be able to function well which leads to getting infection easily. That is why it is very important for a house to be warm all the time especially during the night. Getting a good night’s sleep during very cold weather is one of the things that these warm floors give to us. They not only help prevent cold, they also give comfort during the night.
Hydronic radiant flooring heat system’s foundation has a flooring of aluminum under wood panels or tile panels of the house. How is this done? Well, first, a water is brought to boiling and pumped via polyethylene PEX tube embedded in the foundation that is aluminum. A wood, electric boiler or oil is made a medium through which heat travels. This heat sends further heat into the piping. Through convection, where the floor is heated up so that warm air moves upward into the living space, the aluminum is heated. There are many benefits in using this type of heating. One, unlike conventional heating systems, its heating efficiency is much lower in level than hydronic radiant heat. In heating systems that are conventional, the air that is heated travels and moves along vents, therefore air is moved in a scattered motion in the house. The heat now that is moving inside the house is constantly rising while cool air makes a replacement towards the floor.
